In this presentation, it is shown step by step how the Guyanese Galamses (artisan miner) extract gold from the tails of a gravitational ore-dressing plant.
A team of local gold miners has been processing all day quartz-sand material selected after the operation of our ore gold processing plant. After the secondary crushing, flushing at the floodgates, the selected concentrate is washed again and concentrated. In the end, the volume of concentrate in 5 liters with mercury is washed to pure amalgam, squeezed and burned on the fire. Having processed up to 150 cubic tails a day, miners can rely on 50 - 100 grams of gold produced.
